SEE Forums

The SEE Forums bring together leading policymakers, researchers, and practitioners to review and discuss scientific evidence in education that is presented in a non-technical and accessible manner.

The forums aim to locate and offer the policy community high-quality, credible evidence that can shape effective action. The events are designed to offer an overview of the current scientific research base, glean the key findings, discuss the implications, present resources, and engage the audience in stimulating conversations.

Forum topics are selected based on their immediate policy relevance, availability of timely research, and feedback from forum participants. Each session features leading researchers, shedding light on a recent study or resource that has potential to strengthen education policy;  practitioners, providing a critical “on the ground” perspective; and policymakers, discussing the relevance of the information presented.

The Washington, DC-based forums are scheduled to accommodate the needs of busy policymakers and practitioners and are located conveniently, near or on Capitol Hill.

In addition, the SEE Forums website and its publication series serve as an ongoing resource helping education community to make well-informed decisions.
